About Us

People You Know Helping People You Love

Wabash General Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Mount Carmel, Illinois. We provide quality healthcare to Wabash County residents and many in the surrounding areas.

Our federal designation as a critical access hospital identifies us as a community hospital with fewer than 25 inpatient beds offering 24-hour emergency care, and with no other hospitals within a 35-mile radius. Because of this status, Wabash General Hospital can offer a special inpatient rehabilitation program called the Rehab to Home Program.

In addition to the Rehab to Home Program, inpatient and emergency care, our team offers family medicine and a variety of specialist services. These services include five orthopaedic and sports medicine clinic locations, five primary care locations throughout Mt. Carmel, Albion and Grayville, athletic trainers in 16 schools (high schools and junior colleges), audiology, cardiology, general surgery, infusion services, oncology/hematology, pain management, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and women's health.

At Wabash General Hospital, we are proud of the many awards we’ve won that recognize our efforts to be the best, but we are most proud of the personalized experience we offer our patients and families. Our focus and dedication to make sure you receive personalized health care with loving, compassionate staff to serve you and your loved ones.
