Disability Access

Wabash General Hospital is dedicated to caring for and supporting people with disabilities and their families. We offer people with disabilities a safe, supportive environment. Designated handicapped parking is available on our campus and at our clinics.

Hearing Impaired

Wabash General Hospital offers services to the hearing impaired, including telecommunications devices and sign language interpreters. Please ask your nurse for information.

Service Animals

Wabash General Hospital does not discriminate against the use of service animals. Service animals will be permitted in Wabash General facilities unless the animal's presence would fundamentally alter the nature of the service provided, an animal is not within its handler’s control, or if an animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others or otherwise jeopardizes the safe operation of the facility.

Language Interpreters

Wabash General Hospital can provide interpreters for a variety of foreign languages. If you need an interpreter, ask your nurse for this free service.

Tobacco Policy

Wabash General Hospital is a healing environment, so for the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff, we prohibit smoking at all Wabash General Hospital locations, except for in designated areas.

Wabash General Hospital is a tobacco-free campus. Please do not smoke or use smokeless tobacco anywhere on the property.


Free parking is available in surface parking lots around the hospital and clinics. Handicapped parking is also available.

Visitor Policies

Support from family and friends is an important part of the patient’s recovery process. We encourage you to visit your loved ones while they are at Wabash General Hospital.

Children aged 12+ may visit the inpatient unit during regular visiting hours accompanied by an adult. Younger children must receive permission from the nursing supervisor prior to a visit. Children must be supervised at all times by an adult who is not the patient.

Immediate family and overnight visitors will be evaluated based on several criteria, including the benefit to the patient and consent of roommate if in a semiprivate room.

Visiting restrictions may be required, depending upon patient medical conditions and needs. Please see a member of the nursing staff for any questions about restrictions.

Visiting Hours

General hospital visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to enter or exit the hospital after 10:00 p.m. must do so through the Emergency Room.
