Wabash General Hospital Foundation Adds Maaz Ahmed to Medical School Scholarship Program
(August 14, 2023) Wabash General Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of medical student Maaz Ahmed to the Medical School Scholarship Program. This addition makes a total of eleven scholarship students who will be joining Wabash General Hospital as physicians after their schooling is completed.
Maaz Ahmed is a second-year medical student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He states, “I chose to become a doctor because I want to treat people going through injuries and teach people to live healthy lifestyles. I completed my master's in clinical informatics at the NYU Langone School of Medicine, and I would like to bring new medical technologies into the hospital. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, camping, and relaxing on the lake."
The WGH Foundation Medical School Scholarship Program is designed to help medical students financially while they are in school. This program is tremendous for the student and their family as they don’t have to worry about paying for medical school. These students can keep all their focus on learning and bringing back new, innovative skills to our community.
