High School graduate preferred. At least one (1) year experience as receptionist or secretary in a healthcare setting preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Excellent phone communication skills. Ability to multitask.

Job Duties

The Administrative Receptionist must be able to demonstrate communication skills to all visitors and employees. The Receptionist is responsible for answering the phone and directing calls to the proper areas. They will also be responsible for handling the company vehicle schedule, credit card log, on-call schedule, and keeping the office areas clean and stocked. Must have knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to visitors and employees by demonstrating the following: welcomes visitors and employees by greeting them with a smile, in person and on the telephone. Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Patient Access Clerk (FT)(PT)

Department: Business Office

Minimum Requirements

High School graduate preferred. One year of general office experience and/or equivalent education preferred.

Job Duties

The Patient Access Clerk registers patients to the hospital: inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients. The Patient Access Clerk establishes patient accounts, gathers billing information, insurance cards where applicable, and guarantor information. Obtains appropriate signatures on the face sheet and admission papers. Directs patients to the appropriate department for services. Immediately notifies nursing supervisor or emergency room personnel of a potential critical patient. Scans required patient information into the system. Runs insurance verification report and registration quality report on daily basis.

Job Type: FT, PT

Hours: Full-time, 2:30-10:30pm, Monday-Friday. 80 hours per pay. Weekends PRN and on-call 1-2 weekends per month. Part-time, 33-71 hours per pay. Saturday and Sunday, 2pm-10pm. No on-call.

Senior Accountant (FT)

Minimum Requirements

B.S.in Accounting. CPA preferred. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written.

Job Duties

The Senior Accountant is ultimately responsible for the overall operations of the Business Office. Completes journal entries and prepares the Financial Statements. Assures all permanent general ledger accounts are reconciled. Prepares monthly Foundation Financial Statements. Medical staff credentialing. Assist the Hospital Controller. Responsible for supervision of staffing, scheduling, staff Performance Appraisals, Performance Standards, maintaining equipment, policy/procedures, planning, innovation, compliance with regulatory standards, education, and communication. All other duties as assigned.

Follows all policies and procedures as established by WGH for patient care and confidentiality. Follows safe practices for handling toxic substances, infection control, and fire and safety procedures. Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to customers of all ages.

Physician Office Float Receptionist (PRN)

Job Duties

The Float Physician Office Receptionist must be able to demonstrate communication skills to customers and patients of all ages. The Receptionist must be able to float and work within multiple clinic areas. The Receptionist is responsible for answering the phone, directing calls to the proper areas and scheduling patients for appointments efficiently according to provider schedule. Must have knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to customers of all ages by demonstrating the following: welcomes patient and visitors by greeting them with a smile, in person and on telephone. The receptionist will accurately register patients in the practice management system and update demographic information as needed. In addition, the receptionist will ensure availability of treatment information by scanning/filing and retrieving patient medical records as needed.
