Scholarships
Nursing Scholarship
Together, Wabash Valley College and Wabash General Hospital provide nursing scholarships to two qualified students. The student has an opportunity to work for the hospital while attending Wabash Valley College. Wabash General Hospital will make reasonable accommodations to allow the student to pursue his/her registered nurse training while actively (PRN or part-time) employed at Wabash General Hospital.
Wabash General Hospital will award a scholarship including:
- full cost of tuition
- text books
- testing fees related to completion of the Associates Degree in Nursing.

Medical/Clinical Personnel
Wabash General Hospital offers a scholarship program for medical/clinical personnel students willing to start their career as medical/clinical personnel at a WGH healthcare facility. The WGH medical/clinical personnel scholarship program provides loan repayment assistance to medical/clinical personnel students in return for a commitment to work at a WGH healthcare facility for a period of not less than two (2) years.
Wabash General Hospital will award a scholarship including:
- full cost of tuition
- textbooks
- course, school, and any exit examination fees

WGH and AHEC Healthcare Scholarship
Wabash General Hospital and the Southeast Illinois Area Health Education Center (AHEC) are proud to offer healthcare scholarships to high school seniors and college students within the WGH service area and Southeast AHEC region. Students attending school within the following counties are encouraged to apply:
Alexander, Clay, Crawford, Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Johnson, Lawrence, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Richland, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, White, and Williamson
