The City of Mt. Carmel on behalf of Wabash General Hospital District will hold a public hearing on June 15, 2020 at 8:30 A.M., via teleconference call in # 515-604-9099 Access Code 189-677-928 to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed Rebuild Illinois Fat-Track Public Infrastructure and Grant (RIFTPI) project and Rebuild Illinois Public Infrastructure Grant (RIPI) project. Persons with disabilities or non-English speaking persons who wish to attend the public hearing and need assistance should contact Heather Neuman 618-445-3612 no later than 8:00 A.M. 6/15/2020. On or about June 15, 2020, the City of Mt. Carmel on behalf of Wabash General Hospital District intends to apply to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for these grants from the Rebuild Illinois program. This program is funded by state funds as included in the 2019 Capital Bill. These funds are to be used for a community development project that will include the following activities: expanding, repairing, remodeling, equipping, and improving Wabash General Hospital and building and equipping a medical office adjacent to the hospital. The total amount of Rebuild Illinois funds to be requested is $5,000,000.00. The Wabash General Hospital District also proposes to expend $7,937,305.00 in non-Rebuild Illinois funds on the project. These non-Rebuild Illinois funds will be derived from the following sources: Hospital Revenue Bonds not to exceed $14,000.000.00; and General Obligation Hospital bonds not to exceed $1,945,000.00.
