Physical Therapy

Wabash General Hospital offers physical therapy services to both children and adults. Our therapists guide movements and exercises designed to increase strength, mobility, and endurance. Physical therapists specialize in examination, evaluation, and treatment of patients who want to maintain, restore, or improve function. Effective physical therapy treatment is commonly sufficient to avoid the need for surgery and any reliance on pain medication.

What Is Physical Therapy?

Physical therapists are experts in treating many different conditions that cause body aches and pains from a variety of ailments and injuries. There is no “one size fits all” program for physical therapy, and that’s why our rehabilitation experts will take the time to familiarize ourselves with your condition to provide an individualized care program. That program may involve stretching and strengthening exercises, education on how to use cane walkers, or crutches.
